The Lake Travis SEPAC Spark Grant offers up to $250 to support projects, materials, or resources that enhance instruction or services for special education students (IEP or 504). The goal is to directly improve access, engagement, and achievement for students with special education needs.

Eligibility Criteria:  Applicants must:

• Be a full-time LTISD Special Services Department employee (e.g., Special Education Teacher, OT, ST, PT, etc).

• Not have received the Spark Grant in the immediate previous year.

• Plan to use the funds for instructional materials that align with district-approved curriculum, assistive technology, behavioral and sensory supports, or classroom projects that directly benefit special education students.

Timeline: 

• Applications open: August 13, 2025

• Deadline to apply: September 15, 2025

• Review meeting to discuss winners: September 29, 2025

• Awards announced: October 6, 2025

• Funds must be used by December 31, 2025

How Winners Will Be Selected

All complete applications will be reviewed by the Lake Travis SEPAC board using a clear scoring rubric. Proposals will be evaluated based on their impact on special education students, clarity of purpose, feasibility, innovation, and alignment with SEPAC’s mission. High-scoring applications will then be considered for funding, with additional prioritization given to equity across campuses, first-time applicants, and projects with broader or lasting impact. Partial funding may be awarded depending on available budget and individual project needs.
